MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As I mentioned in my article last month, one of the primary goals for your leadership team is to build a sense of "community" for our members and this chapter, and to help promote our profession. I believe we got a good start on this objective in the January meeting. Ray Redburn led a high energy session to get your input and ideas on how to make this chapter a vital part of the success of your practice, as well as how to better promote the coaching profession. There were several flip charts filled to capacity and many volunteers afterwards to help think through and prioritize the ideas for implementation. It was exciting being a part of this session as we are addressing the needs of both seasoned and newer coaches.
Our attendance continues to grow each month. We had over fifty coaches at the January meeting which was a rainy winter evening. What better time to come see what all the excitement is about than this month of February, a month of special recognition for coaches on both the national and international levels. Come check out our new location and wonderful speakers, the details are listed below.
Warm regards, Dave Wagers NWCA 2007 President
NWCA PROGRAMS: FEBRUARY 13, 2007
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ MEETING DETAILS
PRE-MEETING WORKSHOP (5:45pm)
In honor of International Coaching Week, February 4 - 10, 2007, NWCA Past President 2006, Veronika (Ronnie) Noize will debrief the NWCA on the International Coach Federation Conference 2006 in St. Louis - what worked (and what didn't), who was there (and what they did/said), and if the conference was really worth the time, effort and money. Nothing but the facts, and no holds barred, you'll get all the dirt from a first-time, first-hand participant who isn't afraid to tell you what the conference marketing materials won't!
MAIN MEETING (7:15pm)
Building Your Dream Coaching Practice! Make all the money you want! *and* Make a difference in the world! Many coaches know that they are destined to coach others to their personal greatness. Yet the same coach struggles to find clients, bill a rate that is profitable and ultimately believe that they are changing the world. Where is the disconnect and how can coaches fully step into their own greatness?
Our speaker, Victoria Trabosh is an executive coach and international speaker who walks the talk of success. In addition to growing a thriving coaching practice, she co-founded a foundation for Rwanda which is about empowering others and supporting the poorest to be their best.
You will leave this presentation being able to understand and employ:
The Power of Focus and Faith
The Power of Partnership
The Power of NO
Practical, inspirational and doable, Vicky's approach to building her business is open to all coaches who seek to be their best. This program honors the differences of style and communication and is not a cookie cutter approach or a marketing gimmick. Behavior matters - and this presentation will help remove self-imposed barriers to success.
Sincerely, Programs Team: Colleen Bourassa Feroshia Knight

MESSAGE FROM THE VIRTUAL ASSISTANT
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My name is Louise Feddema, of Your Virtual Assistant, LLC. I have been retained to work as NWCA's Virtual Assistant. Kristy was great about training me and sent materials and notes to work from; but now that I am a doing things on my own, I am certain that I am not remembering to do some things and will probably get a few things wrong. So, please speak up if I am doing something that seems "not quite right" and I will figure out how to get things done the NWCA way!
Profiles It appears that the largest number of membership changes happen in January - It also appears that there are a few new coaches. If you are not sure whether you have a profile? Verify it here:
http:/ /nwcoaches.org/current_members Your profile is linked from your name.
As with everything else in life, your profile may need changing or updating; If you would like to add or update your profile, please contact me.
Best Wishes, Louise Feddema Virtual Assistant to NWCA help@nwcoaches. org
